43rd Annual Dickerson Rendezvous, June 2010

Ahoy,

To you long time contributors and interested visitors to this site, you know that just about this time of year, we recap the June Rendezvous for you and most years, we add a collection of selected snapshots. A couple of thoughts occurred to us:

1. It's a shame that more people don't get a taste of this great event.
2. There are bound to be plenty of pictures that lay on the cutting room floor (one artist's trash is another's treasure).

So---------------over the past several months we have garnered terrific support from the wonderful (free to readers) publication "SpinSheet". Around the Chesapeake area, it is a highly sought prize available at selected marinas, restaurants, and marine suppliers. And for those folks in faraway places, they maintain a top rate website with full access to the monthly issues. This year, a recap of our 43rd Dickerson Rendezvous will be featured in the upcoming August edition. I invite you to search out your copy and/or visit their website at http://spinsheet.com and enjoy. On behalf of the DOA, I thank Ruth at "SpinSheet" for her support. Through Joe's (our Sampson Post) tireless efforts, Ruth has reserved some print space for our association news each month. And while we are on the subject, please consider writing an article or two and passing them to Joe for Ruth's consideration. And finally, I asked you to forward me pictures from the Rendezvous and your permission to post them. A hardy thanks to all of you who did so. Also thanks to Alan for posting them here. Here's what's different this year-there are 278 of them. So hopefully, there are a few for everyone. (And yes, there are too many of Crew Rest-just couldn't help myself.)
