I am selling the 30 gallon Monel deisel tank from my 1973 D36 CC ketch. I have converted Koshka to electric propulsion and therfore no longer need the tank. In addition, the surveyor and insurance company were not hip on the tank staying onboard.
All indications are that this is the original round tank and it was never removed from the boat. I see no signs of leaking, deterioration in the seams or metal. The tank was about half full before I pumped out the old deisel. I'd prefer the tank end up in another Dickerson. I have the tank at Dandy Haven Marina in Hampton, VA. Although I haven't taken any pictures I can if requested. Price is basically best offer. I'll keep it on this forum for a month or so and if no interest I'll advertise on Craigslist, etc.

No, I have not sold the tank yet. I was about to place it on Craigslist and decided to check the forum one last time.

I don't even know if your tank would fit but I want to check if it will. An extra 10 gal would be nice. And since you said Best Offer, I'd have to do some homework. I have no idea what to offer.
You said the tank is empty? I assume it's clean on the inside then.

August 24, 2014 at 2:41 am #1146TeddyParticipantSteve, the diameter is 16 inches and the length is 36 inches. I'm happy to clean the outside of the tank before purchase. I expect it would shine up nicely. I have attached a couple of photos.

If it fits and we foresee no problems installing it, I'll be interested. Since it's out already, the tank interior should be easy to inspect (sludge or build-up) it should be easy to clean.
Tnx,
Steve

My tank is 14″ X 30″ and sits in a cradle. With everything going on with my boat, it would be a project but not an option for now.
Thanks for checking for me.

Cheers,
