"DARUMA" is the first of the very popular aft cockpit, tri-cabin Dickerson 37's.
The present owners have spared no reasonable expense to make her an outstanding yacht that deserves your serious consideration.
She is nicely equipped for coastal cruising, the ICW and the Bahamas, with shoal draft, 10 opening ports, and 5 opening hatches.
Her layout offers complete privacy for two couples, while leaving the saloon open for early risers to enjoy coffee and a good book in one of the two built-in armchairs.
She combines a modern under body with a traditional appearance. She sails with an easy motion and features a secure cockpit that seats 10 in comfort. When there is no wind, her Perkins 4-108 diesel purrs along effortlessly at 6+ knots.
Her galley features a large, top-opening refrigerator (12 v. Adler Barbour, Super Cold-Machine), a 3-burner propane stove with oven and broiler, pressure hot and cold water and plenty of storage and counter space.
Her head features a Groco toilet with a large, ss holding tank, plenty of storage and a hot-water shower.
In the main saloon the folding table stows against the forward bulkhead so it is completely out of the way when not in use. The L-shaped settee converts to a large double berth for guests.
The forward vee-berth is fitted with a high/low filler with lots of storage beneath the berth cushions, multiple drawers and a hanging locker. In the aft-cabin, the double berth also has good storage, including 3 built-in drawers, a locker and a large shelf.
The forward-facing nav. station, to starboard in the aft cabin, is very convenient to the helm, and fitted with an Icom DSC, VHF Radio, SSB and a Chart-plotter which is hard-wired for a lap-top computer. The 4 Kw Radar antenna is mounted atop a ss pole aft, and the radar screen is mounted at the helm for ready reference underway.
The boat has a built-in Espar diesel heater and hot air is ducted throughout the interior for those cool fall days and nights under the stars.
"DARUMA" comes equipped with a full-batten main with 3 sets of reef points and lazy-jacks and a Genoa Jib on a roller. She can also be sailed as a cutter with a Yankee on the roller and a reefable, hank-on staysail attached to its own stay. This stay can be released and stowed aft by the mast when the jib is being used. She also has a cruising spinnaker in a sock and a bright orange storm trysail on its own mast track. All the sails have been cleaned and serviced by a professional sailmaker and are ready to go.
This fine yacht is truly well equipped and can take you across the Bay or across the far horizon in safety and comfort. Her lengthy equipment list includes everything you need to get underway tomorrow.
The present owner will spend time with the buyer going over every detail to ensure an easy transition.
