Ahoy all Dickerson Yacht Owners and Enthusiasts,
As Dickerson Owner’s Association members know, one of the perks of membership is a copy of the annual Dickerson Owner’s Association Directory. This unique publication provides the surviving living history of these great yachts and their owners and admirers. With vital information about still commissioned boats and owner contact information, it is a ready reference source.
Most years, the Directory has been completed and handed out at the annual Rendezvous in Oxford—but two things happened in 2008. First, we didn’t have the information compiled and ready for publication and second, we had a resurging interest from owners and enthusiasts outside the Chesapeake watershed who could not physically travel to Oxford. So – what to do—what to do?
There is good news. The 2008 Directory is just about complete—and better news—the 2009 Directory is being revamped and will provide more complete information and pictures! So – we ask again – what to do – what to do?
1. If you are a DOA member, please pass on the Membership Form on Home Page(Join Now) to encourage your Dickerson Neighbors to join with us so we can keep this classic group together for another 40 years or more. We’ll e-mail you a copy of the 2008 Directory shortly. And as you faithfully renew your membership for 2009, you will already be set on a starboard tack ready to receive the 2009 addition.
2. If you are NOT a current DOA member – JOIN NOW. If you declare your joining intention by 1 March, you will receive the 2008 edition, and as a bonus, your membership will be good through the 2009 season until May 31, 2010. Just fill out the Membership form on the Home Page (JOIN NOW) and send us the very reasonable fee (we spend more on sand paper). And if that’s too hard—just tell us you want to join and we’ll send you a bill. But please ACT – and do so by 1 March.
