Hello Everyone, Dad wants to get new sails made for our ’68 wood hull ketch Different Drummer (see our unknown time on the race this summer….) Do any of you have suggestions or recommendations? We are in Herrington Harbor North in Maryland (south of Annapolis) Thanks! Petey

I am near you in Deale at Frank Shermans Marina, I suggest SailMenders Shady Side MD 410 867 4071 a local sail maker who does a great job at a reasonable price or Bacon in Annapolis who does imported sails from China but does a good job also. Would also suggest full batten sails with lazy jacks. Makes it a lot easier’

Housley Sailmakers in Annapolis at Bert Jabin’s Yard is great for cruising sails. He is a little quirky but does good work. All of my sails and canvass are from Glenn. If you call there, tell John Freal referred you and he will take good care of you. His sails may cost a bit more, but they last a long time. Mine are over six years old and still in great shape.
