    Joe,

What a nice article in Spinsheet. It is nice to know there are still such wonderful people and great marinas worth visiting. Enjoyed reading it.

    Steve,

The real treasure is having dedicated folks like Cap’n Joe actively engaged in this life we all enjoy–a great skipper of a great boat. But watch out flotilla of the Peoples Republic of Maryland

    Thanks Steve and Barry,

It was a lot of fun writing it–and Frank Sherman–a super guy really enjoyed it. The sad thing was that Bill, mentioned in the article, passed away in his sleep at 58 in January. He lived on the Houseboat next door to Irish Mist and helped Frank at the Marina and Barry Bill went up my mast on a ladder and replaced nuts in spreaders–that had fallen off–so we could race in the Western Shore Round Up..

Bill’s ashes were buried at sea in a very memorable ceremony with some 50 relatives and friends aboard the Charter boat “Loosen UP” A very moving ceremony with people coming from as far as Texas to pay tribute.

Coming from New England I can truthfully say–There is nobody like “Bay Water people”
