    Hi: I am seeking several new co-owners for a 1979 Dickerson ’41 Ketch that is kept in the British Virgin Islands year-round. I have posted an ad on the Dickerson website, other internet sites, and Cruising World and have gotten some good responses, but I need more. I am going to head down to the Annapolis Boat Show this coming weekend in an effort to stir up more interest. Does anyone have any other suggestions?     “Crew Rest”, “Aequanimitas”, “Southern Cross”, and Andromida” all present and accounted for at the US Sailboat Show on Thursday. Sorry we missed you but hope that you find some interested parties. We certainly found folks interested in talking “all things Dickerson”. We are off to join friends at the Southern Bay Rendezvous.

    Sorry to have missed a chance to meet you. I hope your Southern Bay Rendezvous was a success.
    I have a question you may be able to help me with. We have the original refrigeration system (1979) that Dickerson installed. It is a 110 volt holding plate system that runs off of our generator or shore power. I am planning to replace it and am eager for suggestions. I have been told that when they built boats like mine they filled the outside walls of the refrigeration compartment with foam while the mold was still inverted, resulting in a very good r factor. Can anyone confirm that? I have been thinking that we needed to rebuild the compartment to get the insulation up to current standards, but I would love to avoid that task.
