Alex,
Congratulations on your hard chine 35. I know that the boat book 50 wooden boats has your boat in it. It says that the D35 hard chine was designed by Charles Whittolz but there is controversy about that as I have also heard that Ted Graves may have designed it. Kittiwake (D32) was designed by Ted Graves and I have plans for her which I bought from the Calvert Maritime museum. If you go to the sailboat data website you will find a nice sail plan of your boat with a great looking set of sails and bow sprit. In the book 50 wooden boats it also says that your model was the “Departure” class of boat. Kittiwake, I believe is the “Simplisima” class and yes….She is simple. The plans from wooden boat are not cheap…$300. I would call Calvert museum and see if they have them. I paid around 30 per sheet for mine, if I remember correctly.
Here are some stats from 50 wooden boats. LWL 27’10” Beam 10.5 Draft 4’3″ to 5′ Displacement 15,300 Sail area sloop 580 Cutter 658 Ketch 705 sq ft
I hope this points you in the right direction…
