I remember Running Free well. When it was in my Charter fleet it was owned by Bob and Sally Free. They took excessively good care of the boat – I hope it was in that kind of shape when you adopted it!

Would these be the Bomar ports on the later boats. I believe they had baked on Awlgrip paint. When we paint aluminum we usually use Alodine on the aluminum as a base coat to help the Awlgrip stick. To learn more about Alodine, visit this site.

We use a product called King Starboard for this type of application. Much better than brittle materials like plexiglass and made for outside marine applications. Small pieces can be purchased at Jamestown distributors or if you have a local boatyard, you may be able to buy a small scrap.
I have to agree about Depco. At the yard we use them all the time. They had 38 of the $700 pumps I was ordering in stock. The ware house must be awesome! They are also very knowledgeable about rare pumps.
