Nauti LegalParticipantHello Native Floridian,
I also have a 36 dickerson a 74 though, and also live in Florida. Melbourne to be exact. What part of the state are you in? I think we have a similar boat that is laid out differently. If you would like to get it touch with me my email is shane9973@yahoo.com. if you are near by maybe we could meet on the ICW.
Shane
Nauti LegalParticipantBy the way i’m in florida as well…Melbourne to be exact.
Nauti LegalParticipantHey I’d like to talk with you. I have a 1974 D36 CC ketch. Looking at your pictures you have a V-berth. I have a forward head and a very large line locker!! I want a V-berth!! I wounl love to see more detailed pictures of how your forward cabin is laid out.
Thanks

Nauti LegalParticipantI used interlux micron 66, 3 coats, with no additives. Its been 1 year 9 months, Had a few barnacles on the bow at the waterline(5-6). Other than that the rest of the hull is fine. It seems to build up fast in this area due to being in the ICW 20+ miles north or south of any inlet. We dont get alot of water movement around here.
Nauti LegalParticipantPassport, boat registration, I think its still $150.00 35 ft and under and $300.00 above 35 ft but under 60( i think). I know it costs me 300 and im 36 ft. Other than that just some patience to deal with the customs people.

Nauti LegalParticipantHi Steve,
I assume heading to Fayetteville you’re part of the 82nd. In my past life i was as well, 1/325. I have a D36 cc ketch, Nauti Legal, If theres anything I can help you with the ketch, or the wind/solar generator let me know

Nauti LegalParticipantHi Dana,
I also have a 36 cc with a paragon gear. In 2006 I ran over some construction plastic in the ICW and completely destroyed the transmission. Anyhow I completely rebuilt the transmission sitting in my cockpit using “Inboard Engine, Transmission & Drive Service Manual 3rd Edition by Clymer” . It had part numbers for every part in that transmission. This was my first time messing with a transmission and it couldn’t have gone smoother, 6-8 hrs and it was reinstalled. The book also has manuals for many different engines and transmissions. I hope this can be of some help to all.

Nauti LegalParticipantHello Dana,
I too own a 36 cc ketch “Nauti Legal”. Shes a 1974 hull with a custom hardtop and dodger. email me at shane9973@yahoo.com and i will send you some pictures of the inside and out. I wouldn’t mind seeing some of your boat as well.
Happy Sailing,
Shane
Nauti LegalParticipantBarry,
You don’t happen to have a photo of “Celeste” do you?? Id love to see what she looked like prior to the cockpit enclosure.
Many Thanks,
Shane
Nauti LegalParticipantBarry, yes Nauti Legal was documented under the name Soul Food when I bought her. The name “Wave Dancer ” is news to me. Thanks for the info. What other info would you like me to send to you to go along with the picture?
Shane
Nauti LegalParticipantI spoke with a friend of mine who builds 100 mph+ offshore race boats and he agrees with Rshel34 that FRP is solid fiberglass panels or laminated fiberglass.
Nauti LegalParticipantI dont think that there is any wood in the hull as ive drilled throught it before and never saw wood shavings. Like Rshel34 it does have a glass over wood deck
